{Mass Trash the Dress: Group Shots!}

We’ve finally come to the end of the Mass Trash the Dress photos!  I’m certainly sad to see them end but it’s making me look forward to next year!  Any 2011 or 2012 brides that are interested in taking part in something like this will hopefully have the chance to next year.

I want to give a special shout out to the key players who made this happen with me:

Firstly, thank you to Ridley Creek State Park for hosting us on this snowy day!  The bridal suite we got ready in (shown in these photos) was incredible! The grounds were amazing and the mansion is stunning as always.  Ridley Creek is one of my all time favorite places and I’m so glad we could capture these brides at such a gorgeous location.

Secondly I want to thank Gina and the ladies at Lovely Locks.  They braved the storm, and got straight to work.  The hairstyles ranged from soft curls to elaborate updos and I could not have been more thrilled with the results!  They were quick, friendly and did AMAZING work.  Seriously.  You need these ladies to rock your hair for any special event.  They’re awesome!

Thirdly, I want to thank Jessica and the ladies at Touch of Blush.  They were early, fast, and funny!  And the make up? Stunning.  They transformed these brides into supermodels.  It’s insane the level of skills these ladies have.  If you’re getting photographed or going to an event or it’s your wedding day- I STRONGLY suggest you use Touch of Blush for your makeup!

Fourth, I’d like to thank my assistant, Amy who totally rocked at keeping me on schedule, being my second set of hands, eyes and ears, the carrier of all things lenses, trash bags and towels, and dress train “rearranger”.  She was a lifesaver!  Glad to have her on the team.

And finally, to my brides. You all were incredible! Thank you for braving the cold, the long drive for some and for putting on your most prized article of clothing again for me to traipse through the mud, water and paint to get these awesome photos!  Without you this wouldn’t have been a success!  I’m so thrilled that I got to work with each and every one of you!  Love you all!

Now… without further adieu… the group shots!

Hey girls. Jed and I are making a quick trip to Johnstown to see Lydia’s nutcracker performance. We are leaving Saturday morning and coming back Sunday evening. We usually take Vincent with us, but since this is such a short trip we were thinking about leaving him here. If we did that, we would need someone to take him on a walk Saturday night and once Sunday morning. Would any one be willing to do one or both walks?

Thanks.
Genevieve

What time would it need to be done sat night? I can def do Sunday morning. Although I only met Vincet once in person (and it was brief). Would he be o.k. with that?:-)
Genevieve Morris

Gen, I am kinda afraid of dogs but Derek actually said he wouldn’t mind walking Vincent if you still need us too.

{Mass Trash the Dress: Bride Bria}

Our final bride!  (I’m  sad to see these regular posts end!)

Bria and I ran in the same circles in college.  Ultimate Frisbee.  Swing dance. (Ok I only went 3 times- but she’s excellent in it!) And we both worked summers on campus, her in conferences and me on the lifeguard staff.  We never became friends really until we moved into the same apartment our last year of college. 4 Girls. 2 Bedrooms. Cheap rent!  Great friendships.  I’m so glad we’re friends!  She’s artsy and into photography too so it’s always fun to shoot someone who is comfy behind the camera.  Photographers become some of the best models! (But not me. I prefer behind the camera thankyouverymuch!)

So enough of my rambling and on to the photos!  As always- Check out the end of the post for all of the special people who helped make this shoot possible! Also stay tuned for Friday when I’ll reveal the group shots of all 9 of these beautiful women together in some amazing photos!

Special Thanks to:

The looks that were put forth by both Lovely Locks and Touch of Blush were breath taking and priceless.  If you need a stylist- look no further!

{Mass Trash The Dress: Bride Tiffany}

Ok. This was one of my favorite and most fun shoots to date!  You’ll quickly see why!  I’ll shut up up top here and throw in some comments by the photos below.  Enjoy!

Everything started out nice and neat with Tiffany and her hubby David when they met us for the Mass Trash the Dress…

I know some of you are knowing where this is heading…..

Things quickly went from pristine to an all out paint war!  (For those of you brides who are having mini-heart attacks right now— they made this “paint” out of condensed milk and food coloring… According to Tiffany – when she washed her dress- all traces of red and blue washed completely out!  Not one trace of this paint attack!)

How can you not giggle when you’re throwing paint at your spouse?  Tiffany and David were towards the end of the day and a lot of brides stuck around to view the paint war.  We were all laughing so hard.  It was so much fun!

Tiffany showing us some of the damage… but it wasn’t over yet!

Now here’s the full damage:

Staking her claim in red!

All’s fair in love and war!  And all’s well that ends in a painty smooch!

“Traditional” Bride and Groom Portraits anybody?

Tiffany and David: Thank you so much for traveling to Ridley Creek and for being willing to potentially destroy some clothes!  It was so good to see you guys and so fun to witness this classy version of a food fight!  I had a blast!!  And since your dress is nice and shiny again- you can come back next year with your bikes! ;)
